2 Cups of Yellow corn meal
1/4 All purpose flour
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 Tsp. Salt
2 Tsp. Vegetable oil or lard
2/3 Cup milk (Optional)
1 Mixing bowl
1 Frying pan
Add corn meal, milk or water, salt and sugar into mixing bowl. Mix until you have a batter close to pancake mix. Add oil to your frying pan and place biscuit size dodgers into the hot oil. Cook on both sides until golden brown. For a nice touch top with a little fresh made butter and molasses for that southern touch.
* Note: You are cooking near an open flame as well as hot
oil. Please take care in doing so.
