Stick Bread
Stick bread or ramrod bread are some of the names that the toops of the Civil War gave to this creation.
1 Cup of  Yellow corn meal
1/4 All purpose flour
2 Tbsp. Sugar
2 Tsp. Water
1 Mixing bowl

Add corn meal, water and sugar into mixing bowl.  While mixing it might be necessary to add more water.  After your dough is ready fined a green stick from a nearby tree or use your ramrod from your musket and form the dough around the top in a long shape.  Place over your fire and bake until golden brown.  Care must be taken not to burn your bread.

     * Note:  You are cooking near an open flame.  Please take
                 care in doing so.
